BSAVA members can get the manual for the discounted price of £49. Student VN membership is free or you could ask someone at your practice, who is a member, to buy it for you and they will get the discount.

Most practices will have a copy of the relevant textbooks for nurses that you can borrow and if they don't, it never hurts to ask if they can get one as it will benefit everyone.

Degree or diploma? If Diploma really your practice should buy the textbook. If full time degree then you can probably manage with library copies.
