Don’t know if I’m posting this under the right subject so apologies!

I’m after a bit of personal vet advice. My pooch is a very nervous baby when it comes to the vets, and she’s finally used to the practice she’s currently registered at

RE: Registering at 2 vets?

Since veterinary health care is something you pay for, as a 'client' it should be up to you where you take your pet for treatment.

We have a few clients that go to 'cheaper' vets for their routine stuff, but come to us when the pet is poorly. It's a shame because we would rather they came to us for the full package, but I completely understand the need to go wherever is cheapest for certain things and it would be something I would do if I was not working for a practice where I can get treatments/procedures at cost price. Having said that there are still some meds and flea treatments I buy online with a prescription because they can offer these things at lower prices than my practice.

As Sal said, check with your practice as they may feel they would like to see her for everything in order to offer you the pet health plan.

RE: Registering at 2 vets?

check with the practice you work at that this is ok. I have posted on here previously re one of our clients - was initially registered with one of the corporates for one of their lifetime vaccination policies (had them for all her pets) and she was told that if she registered with another practice for treatment they would no longer honour the policy. She was absolutely steaming over it but has changed practices anyway.
