this really made me chuckle. Reminded me so much of a friend of mine who used to come and collect me from work some nights with 'let me take you away from all this. I thought we would go for a drive, pick up some food .... and I have a bucket in the boot' - translated as 'how do you fancy an hours bait digging and fish and chips on the prom' - now who could resist that kind of invitation

Arlo Guthrie and jus' so's ya know... hehehe.... doin' anal glands ain't a passion killer for a nurse. In fact - the squeezier the better - we get quite animated about them... 'specially if you get that lovely "sppppppppprrrrrrrrrtttttthhhhhhhh' noise as you do it.

Mebbe less so (or not so) for our partners poor things. But. Let's face it - they have to learn to listen to (for them) gruesome work anecdotes over dinner or worse. I ask my hubby - what would you rather have; an excited wife (oooh matron) or a miserable one who cannot share her day coz you've got a sensitive stomach (heh heh). He's learned to go with the poop, pus and putrid. 36 years and counting... Besides, I have to listen to him yappin about cricket, rugby, football, golf, darts, John Wayne and Audy Murphy movies... quid pro quo
