I've just started in a new post as Practical Course Co-ordinator with the BSAVA. We are in the process of having our premises updated to include an amazing new teaching space/lab area. I was wondering what sort of CPD you girls and guys

RE: What CPD do you want to do?

More on dentistry would be good, including setting up and running dental clinics, advances in homecare, recognising dental disease, charting, xrays, equipment care and maintenance etc

RE: What CPD do you want to do?

have just seen a free webinar advertised on raw feeding on webinarvet if its of use to anybody - Sept 28th 8pm

RE: What CPD do you want to do?

Simple dental extractions!

RE: What CPD do you want to do?

Thanks Kerrie ..will look into that

RE: What CPD do you want to do?

Try the BVNA Delving Deeper Into Wounds - Modular Course.

RE: What CPD do you want to do?

Some sort of structured VN refresher ( possibly modular intensive done over a series of weeks or weekends for people who live far away to travel in maybe ) mainly for returners to the career.. for people who cant seem to find a local practice to mentor them through PSP ...
I will look into seeing what we can do to offer further CPD on minor surgical procedures, as it is something nurses are well placed to do and we are definitely overlooked!

Management Skills is also a good idea.
[/quote]Lab CPD is a great thought. When I was in practice, I was always preparing slides, dipping urine and running bloods, but didn't always have a good grasp on what the results meant for the pet!
