Please contact practices in your area directly and then it saves everyone the fees and middlemen associated with agencies. I'd rather train a monkey to monitor an anaesthetic than pay extra fees on top (in reference to recent threads on GA monitoring, not a dig at you).

I mostly agree with that - there are very few good agencies out there. Most will attempt to bleed you and the practice dry. The way I see it is why would I want to work as a locum for the same or less an hourly rate that I would earn as permanent staff (and yes this really does happen when the agency has made all their little deductions and negotiated a rate with the employer and maybe signed you up as being available for 3 out of 5 nights on call as well)
