best option recommended to me...

I posted recently with info about checking UK tax compliance of UC's... Buyer beware! I don't have personal experience of Redego... Just went by what others have said on this forum previously about them being cost effective.

A trusted and experienced friend has recommended Purlieus to me, so I am happier to mention them. When comparing UC costs, as,an example, Purlieus charge on your net income whereas a lot of others charge on gross. Clearly makes a massive difference to the amount you end up being paid. So my tip is to dig and establish exactly what you would end up in your pocket to compare company to company...

I will post the link to my warning post so you can read and be best advised about your UC choice!

(why isn't life simpler I ask you... Grrrrr) xxx

RE: Umbrella company

It definitely seems the best option. I’ll check both companies for prices. I’ve used L4 before but they shared a lot but I was working lots then.

RE: Umbrella company
Thank you! I’m currently on maternity leave and thinking about locuming Part time so can work around the baby and still be a mum. I know being a ltd company is the most economical way to locum but I don’t think it is if I’m only doing 2-3 days a week X
This is sort of what I do - finished maternity leave 8 months ago (LG is 18months) and now I just pick up ad hoc shifts here and there. I dont work enough to benefit from becoming ltd so use an umbrella company. I4 have been very helpful and their daily rates work really well for me.

RE: Umbrella company

Thank you!
