There's a fantastic woman on ebay who makes all my cushions, aprons, oven gloves etc. You choose the fabric and tell her the size & she makes it. I've got her contact somewhere....

staples dont make so much mess

remember one of my old bosses asking me to stick a couple of staples in a gash on his arm once - I asked him if he was sure? He said he was - I knew it was going to hurt but hey - he insisted , saying it would only be a momentary sting and quicker than sutures.

3 measly little staples later - he was a bit pale and asked for a cup of tea pronto. As I disappeared I heard him telling the receptionist 'S**T THAT HURT' - funnily enough he stopped stapling those 'teensy weensy wounds not worth admission or local' in the consult room

pml!!!!! I'm not even allowed to use surgical glue as the vets have got fed up with having their gloves glued to the wound!

Hi Sal

Will have a look for either of those stores - the names don't ring a bell but may be in Manchester. As for the other suggestion, you are SO wrong - it would take me hours and be very messy. Creativity is not in my nature!!! I have good ideas and a great eye for how I want something to look but think 3yr old with glue/paint/sewing and you won't be far wrong. I learned a long time ago to just get someone else to make it/do it/paint it etc...

dont know if there is a textiles direct or a boyes store near you both of these have the round cushion pads in - dont know about the covers but wouldnt take long to make your own. Alternatively get the square pads and just 'trim' the corners off till you gte what you want

Hmmm, quite pricey. Am thinking I might try and find someone handy locally and get some made as I only need 2 little ones and they don't need to be fancy, just the right colour for little Miss Fussy!

Well by the time I'd put the new bistro table together, I did think I might look like that cos it has one of those tiled tops and weighs a flippin ton! Anyway, back to the cushions, thanks for the info. I had tried Homebase and Argos (and B@Q, and M@S and Debenhams, and every other shop I can think of!) but will try that link now. Ta!
