Can anybody tell me more?!?! I have been doing some reading about it, but what are these gdpr forms and where do i print them from, and who has to sign them????

If you get Veterinary Practice Today or have access to vnonline, they produced a special supplement about GDPR which is easy to read and also has checklists. The ICO website also has a 12 steps to GDPR. Henry Schein also did a webinar on it not long ago too. I think it is on their website. If anyone is with citation, their elearning module is very helpful.

Does anyone know of any webinars/cpd/info links? I'm a locum currently and seem to be behind other than hearing vaguely that data protection is changing :)

I suspect that may be a bad plan. The UK published its own data protection bill ( https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/data-protection-bill-2017 ) that apparently pretty much covers the same ground as the GDPR.

Well we have been told that this is an EU directive, and once we Brexit these forms won't be needed... so we're just filling in some to show progress but we're not worrying about it too much

a) our understanding is that you do but would be very happy if somebody told me otherwise. b) not sure at all

I also have the problem where we have quite a lot of really elderly clients who have never been seen and the dog cat or other is brought in by family or friends - how do you get written consent from a very elderly owner of an equally elderly budgie who struggles to understand what day it is.

thats exactly what I am doing, I have already filled a lever arch almost this week - and just think in a years time we have to do it all over again
