Hi

It wouldn't be surprising if you have low vit D and low Vit B's too. I went to docs, I wasn't doing night shifts but was really tired. I was lacking in few vitamins etc. it affected my mood and I was probably a little depressed too. Changed my diet came away from sugar as much as, had some supplements and reduced down what I planned to do so I wasn't disappointed with myself. Took a while but I have more energy now.

[/quote]

This has been suggested to me by a couple of other people too - definitely going to get myself in for a health check too! Thanks!

RE: Nightshift

Hi

I've worked nights until a year ago when I gave them up for the same reason. My weeks off were spent struggling to sleep and lying wide awake at 4am! From my experience working nights reeks havoc on your health and just isn't worth the extra pay......

On the other hand I know vets and nurses who've worked nights for years and not had any issues. I guess it just depends on your individual ability to cope with night work.

There's been lots of studies into the effects of night work on health so might be worth having a read of them too.

I debated giving up nights for some time and I can honestly say since doing it I've not regretting it for one second and feel so much healthier than in the past.

Working nights is unnatural and not how our bodies are designed to function
