Thanks everyone - I appreciate your ideas. I was thinking ikea vouchers too - I know she loves to shop there. I was worried it would look like too little effort so I'll get her a little personal gift too.

One of our bosses 'retired' recently and we had an old spinal drill lying around (that no longer worked) so we got it put in a box frame for him!

vouchers are good, but get her a little something to open as well, it could be silly a picture or something random but there must be something to unwrap.

we have a vet leaving, all he likes is porshe stuff and bang and olefson and other expensive gadgets, so ive converted all the money into pound coins and put it in a piggy bank!!

Any activities she likes outta work?? you gotta buy a silly gift too. when our instrument tech left we got some old instruments and got them whelded together as a sculpture! We brought one of the vets tank lessons too

Gift vouchers so she can choose what she wants. There is the thing that someone knows how much you have spent... well they can find out if you give them a gift so it doesnt matter at the end of the day.

Something for the flat would be good as its useful and thoughtful. Also everytime its seen/used it will remind them of the practice.

Im glad some employers are that thoughtful, some dont even say goodbye, goodluck never mind giving a gift.

We had a nurse leave us and was furnishing a flat so we got her some stuff for the flat, always nice to have things to help with furnishing, I know I would like stuff for my new place.
