Hey sian, I am currently studying this certificate and am transferring to the new programme. Yes, it is sectioned off now into separate units so that you can study them individually. Also there is no exam now, there will still be the short answer questions and multiple choice for each unit but then there will be an essay for each section rather than exam. Apparently you are given a scenario in which to write about then you submit for marking. 50 hours cpd per unit which is great. Not sure on the level of the course though.

Also... the old course was worth 60 hours CPD in total whereas the new one is 50 hours PER unit giving you 250 hours CPD if you complete all the sections!!

I completed the course last year (I would highly recommend it!) and I emailed them asking about they change. I was told that the new course would technically be at a slightly lower level than the old one but I don't think specifics were mentioned. The old one was a level 4 certificate.

As they have divided it up into categories I am planning to do the Advanced Programme in Veterinary Nursing of Zoo Animals to add to my qualification.

Its a level 4 certificate but its now changing to the advanced program so don't know if it will be same or have higher standing?

Yes, I completed it last November. Think it's a Level 3 qualification.
