From what you say, it sounds to me that you don't want to leave really but just want a more collaborative working relationship with your team.

Being listened to / asked opinion of is a basic tenet of effective team management; and so is speaking out when it is appropriate.

So, I would ask you this... does your Head Nurse know about your ideas/advice and your frustrated organising ambitions? If not, calm your anguish and ask for an informal one to one natter about it. There is the possibility your energies and ideas can be effectively utilised. Perhaps your management think you are happy as you are? Or stuck in your ways? Or difficult to work with? Or are they trying to protect you from stress... Lots of reasons more...

You cannot say for sure until you ask!

Write down some positive suggestions for change. Decide what you'd love to be in the practice, or work towards. Book your natter. Discuss. Then let us know how you got on!

hth

Make your future bright and happy!
