Hey! I just wanted to say that over the past year I have felt very similar to how your feeling right now.

ive been seeing a councillor weekly- sometimes we just sit there and sometimes I talk so much it’s like Ill never stop talking!

Just remember you are never alone! if you find that you can’t talk to a friend or family member then Please consider talking to a helpline or a doctor etc. You are very strong and brave to reach out and tell us how you feel, and I’m sure the others will agree that we are here for you. Us nurses are in this profession together!

Also try visiting the Mind website, mind.org.uk, they have a huge wealth of information on support and practical help, and they have an infoline 0300 123 3393 where you can talk to their staff about finding the help you need.

From personal experience I would highly recommend Stepchange for financial advice about debt. They are a charity so their services are free and they have lots of options to help you. They have helped me hugely.

I would also strongly suggest that you see your GP who can also point you in the direction of NHS provided support services (you can also self refer I believe without seeing your GP if you don't feel up to that - in my area there is a service called Time to Talk, not sure if they are nationwide but I'm sure all local NHS trusts offer something similar).

More than anything, please please don't give up. It seems impossible to believe when you are at your lowest but there are always people who can help, nothing is hopeless, and you have taken the first very important step by reaching out to the community here.

There is support. There really is. Vetlife is BRILLIANT. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Absolutely confidential, and whatever your problems, they've had the experience to help.

As Ali said, Samaritans are great.

And WE are here for you too, if you need or want us. I will vouch for Ali too. In my experience, an all round amazingly kind and helpful good egg.

I have been here and there IS light at the end of the tunnel, but you may need to be brave and make a few changes,, for YOU .. after all its you that is the most important..

second vetlife, they are amazing. Also please go to see your doctor, mine really helped me and gave me the time off work and the space to sort myself out xx
