I just wanted some advise and don't know what to do!
Over the past two years I have had numerous personal family problems and been struggling with depression and anxiety but as well as that I have had not so nice jobs where I have been bullied

RE: BAD NAME!!!

While I'm not really addressing certain aspects of your problems, in terms of getting back into a nursing job, perhaps looking for a part-time VNA/ANA role may be helpful to break youself back in gently. I know it's a shame not to use the VN skills you have but you may find a lower responsibility role may help to build your confidence back up and take some of the pressure off. It may also get your foot in the door of another practice to get back into a VN role if you can impress them and build up their confidence in you.

RE: BAD NAME!!!

I would second what Alison has said and would also suggest getting in touch with your local MIND group, they may be able to offer you some advice re any problems you are encountering workwise. Feel free to PM me if you think it will help - I am usually kicking around on here somewhere at odd hours - insomnia is a real B sometimes. Take care - and keep talking its good for you

HUGS. BIG ONES. XXX and kisses).

Perhaps it would be a good idea to talk with someone who can listen without any judgement and is a fellow professional (to understand your working environment best)? I think you definitely need somebody rooting for you and helping you to support your mental health.

You can call or email (anonymously).

If you'd like to PM me then please please do so. I am happy to help where I can, sweetness. I am just a friendly ear, not a mental health professional but I can make good sense out of quagmires...

Be strong. Know that we are all rooting for you on vetnurse and take the next steps forward for your health and happiness. You've already done the bravest part already by beginning to ask for help.
Unfortunately too instead of just taking time away when unwell to be recovering I couldn't as don't get sick pay so had to work when unwell to do so which has just made things worse and feel like it has ruined my career when I could have took time away to recover and come back to work when in a better frame of mind.

Also this has happened with all the veterinary corporate practices and as most are now corporate I will struggle to get a job!!!

...but I do find them very unsupportive and wonder if they know what it's like to work in a practice where you dred going into work as well as already having personal problems and depression and anxiety...
