echo what Sal the 1st says and also that a new venture might be a very happy one and perhaps leave you with some time and energy to do some 'nice to have' voluntary work in the nursing field or even, if you can find a practice needing it, one day a week Consulting, say on behaviour, puppy classes or similar... Best of both worlds then, hunny.

I tried to walk away from vet nursing about 9yrs ago following a breakdown. I managed it for a little while (about 8months -ish) but eventually drifted back into vet nursing after vowing that I never would. I have swapped things around a bit since then tho - instead of vet nursing being my whole life it is now just a part of my life - a big part I'll grant you but no longer the whole.

How would it feel to give the new opportunity a chance? - if it works out and you enjoy it - great its a whole new chapter and if it doesn't well at least you can go back to nursing knowing that you gave it a try.
