Does anyone know if you can get audio books to assist with my Veterinary nurse training?
Many thanks :)

RE: Audio Books ?

You can copy and paste text and create an MP3 file to listen to in a voice of your choosing these days:

e.g. http://www.fromtexttospeech.com/

Of course, by the time you actually do that you might have just read it!

Still, if you learn better from spoken word might be of some use.

The same technique can be used to type up study notes or even practice questions and quiz yourself / revise via audio while doing another activity that doesn't gel well with reading (say commuting to work through log-jam roads, jogging, sitting in a darkened room not moving in the hope the baby stays asleep). I'm surprised teaching centres don't produce more audio materials for students as not everyone learns well from reading, and different information formats can be complementary when learning.

I personally like VetGirl on the Run, and Veterinary ECC SmallTalk, neither are specifically aimed at students (ECC Smalltalk especially is quite niche for ECC work) but worth a listen.
