Will give you a flavour of each place.

This is something I've done and realised the tremendous benefit it added to my decision making process (my list of Pro's/Con's as detailed by another poster previously...)

Two main reasons. First, I've always rated Craig and his son Tim Harrison (the owners of the business) as thoroughly good blokes, something I suspect permeates an organisation. Secondly, all the stuff they send to me as a journalist conveys the impression that they don't just talk about having a fun, 'family' type working atmosphere ... that's how it really is.

But of course I don't work there, so I don't really know!

My experience of both practices was very different. One I had a really positive experience at and one was quite a negative experience. Although they are all Medivet they are all very different. It is definitely worth visiting the practices to get a feel for the place before making a decision

are you in the position of having been offered both jobs? Congratulations if that's the case! In my opinion you can't really go off what other people think of places as everyone is different. What someone could love another person could absolutely hate. Whenever making important decisions I tend to write down a list of pros and cons for each and then compare that way. Think about the hours, journey and what interests you at the practice. Also don't be afraid to ask any questions to the practices to help with your decision. Why not ask to go in for a day or a few hours to get a feel for each practice? Chat to the staff and see how happy they are. Also personally thinking would you be happy working for a corporate practice if you've not already done so? These can be very different to independent practices in my experience.

good luck with the decision making!
