I have recently left my permanent role in practice to become a locum veterinary nurse and I no longer have a TLD dosimeter. Does anyone know where I can obtain one from please?

RE: TLD xray badge

As above!!!
jakmarketing.co.uk

Costs around £15-20 for the year and they provide you with a RPA and, your own dose monitoring reports.

You get an environmental badge as well as a body badge so you can take it with you (and place it appropriately wherever you are).

You send the badges back on a quarterly basis; new ones received before existing ones due for return.

Suggest you get a report on your current YTD reading from your last employer (you are entitled to it per IR99 regs). This way you will have a start point for your own records.

If you want any other info I have prepared a blog on this exact matter. If you would like a copy, let me know your email (by PM if u wud prefer).

Regards and good luck with the locuming!

hth
