Excellent idea Arlo! It seems once you've enquired about a position with certain agencies it gives them the green light to hassle you and send you jobs you'd never do despite asking what you are looking for initially

Ha - yes, well, I think I'd struggle in that case.

Though having said that, we COULD perhaps do something. For example, we could have a list of recruitment agencies, which everyone could vote for as either: a) Good, professional, not overly-intrusive, or b) A pain in the backside. Won't go away. Keep hassling. etc.

That way, everyone would know which are the ones to avoid like the plague ...

Hi arlo

im having issues with a locum agency basically hassling me! I've told them multiple times I'm not looking for work and to remove my contact details yet this one particular person emails me vacancies and then if I've not replied he emails again the following day asking if I've read his email - is this something you could please help me with? Im also currently recovering from abdo surgery and this is the last thing I need!

Yes, long time no see.

As regards unsolicited approaches from recruitment agencies, you only need to forward the message to me and I will close their account.
