Many years since I did this but from memory, make sure you put the crushing parts together first then the cutting blades next to the securing nuts, hence the all important saying when castrating...'Nuts to Nuts' to make sure the cord is crushed and held as the testicles are cut off.

what type are they? if its one of the ones supplied by Veterinary Instrumentation they may be kind and send/email you a copy of the instruction sheet if you give them a ring? Have been out of large animal for over 20yrs now and the only ones we had you couldn't take apart except for replacing the 'blades' now and again

I haven't put these together for around 20 years!!! Man I feel old!!!
