In the ancient past we used to give out senior food samples, logic samples and various other bits but we have run out of pretty much everything at the moment.

Re: Geriatric clinics

we do identical to Emma Kerry except we alos throw in a goody bag with leaflets etc and do a UPC ratio Free of Charge - we also charge a tenner a go :) had an offer that the first 50 clients were free, after that it was £10 a clinic.

We put adverts in the paper, fliers in reception and the vets asked at vaccinations etc if the owners were intrested in going - they then tell their friends etc

Re: Geriatric clinics

thank you i will do

Re: Geriatric clinics

Just a tip to help you get started, Novartis have a file full of lots of useful information for starting up older pet clinics, give your rep a call or contact Novartis direct.

I have seen the file and its very useful.

Re: Geriatric clinics

We see ours for a minimum 20 minutes with a nurse. We do a general check for anything of concern, a questionnaire for the owner to fill out to flag up possible problems e.g. are they drinking more, struggling with stairs a little, any new lumps and bumps etc and do a free basic urine dipstick and S.G. in house. We also check vaccination status, worm and flea tx, diet, all the usual!

If we have any concerns we advise a vet appointment - ideally I would love to have a tagged on vet appointment but it just isn't possible for us.

Re: Geriatric clinics

thanks that sounds good - mixing vet and nurse appts. Clients then get a 10% discount on the files for future treatment (gets loyalty).
