If you put "volunteer" in the search box in the top right corner of this page you'll find loads and loads of threads where people have discussed this previously, lots of info there

I thought I researched them before, and they were a bit expensive to volunteer with??? VN salary and all that!! I'll have a look again though, thanks so much for the recommendation.

Have you looked at WVS? The do a variety of projects mainly in Thailand, India and Africa.

I did 2 neutering projects for them last year (Thailand and Malawi) They also have a sister charity called Mission Rabies which is about educating people about rabies and vaccinating dogs and cats.
