the way i deal with any type of phone i dont want is "hang up".

if i dont know why they are calling sometimes i dont even pick up the phone.

if its not welcomed or wanted it doesnt get answered.

We get them absolutely fucking constantly from companies we can never catch the names of, but who seem to have our names and details. My way of tackling is to keep a list of energy companies etc that my PM DOES deal with and check against them - if whoever is on the phone can't give me an account number or isn't on the list, then I tell them this is an emergency line and we don't have time to deal with cold callers, it seems to have shut a few of them up!

There are people also ringing practices saying they are bayliffs & asking for thousands of pounds to be paid within a short time.Article in Vet Times.March 20 vol 47.Only reason they didnt get away with it was because a nurse found a scam warning on the internet.
