Thankyou very much for your advice. Since posting this i have managed to bag some experience at my local practice just as a kennel assistant at the weekend, it is something i have been looking into for a while but with so many young girls just wanting to be involved to give them a foot in the door, it is difficult! But my CV seems to be a running theme unfortunately hahaha, i'll definitely start to condense it and make it look more appealing. Thankyou very much replying, anything helps be at this time.

Too much info to read through! it needs to be clear and concise.
Just doesn't catch my eye at all and there is no relevant work experience in a veterinary practice and also no Science GSCE grade.
I would look on someone with more practical experience ad volunteering. etc.
Good luck.

RE: Student VET NURSE in desperate need of placement.
prior to getting my training placement I volunteered at a few different practices during weekends and school holidays as this shows any potential practice that you have seen what happens on a day to day basis and you know what is involved with an RVN job. Maybe you could do this initially as getting a training placement can sometimes be difficult as there is such competiton for spots that you need something on your cv to stand out to any potential practices. Yours currently shows that you do have experience with animals but a veterinary practice is quite different to a kennels and cartery. Have you any experience working in a vets at all? it might be worth contacting practices near to you to see if you can do some work experience there which you could then put on your cv which would then help you in the search for a placement

it might also be useful to google cv templates to see if you can improve on yours. When reading it it does sound a bit wordy if you can think of how many cvs a practice receives and the time it would take to read through them you should put the most relevant experience at the start to grab their attention.

Feel free to pm me if you need any help

Thankyou for taking the time to reply to me. I think you misunderstand in regards to a placement, ive volunteered in a Kennel and Cattery but in order to apply to actually start my training as a nurse, i need a placement in a local vets on sort of an apprenticeship basis. I then take one day out a week to go to college, and do this for three years..

Thankyou for the advice on condensing my CV, i will edit and re-upload. Is it the covering letter, or the list of previous work experience that you think is too long?

Thankyou for your help and advice, i really do appreciate it.

RE: Student VET NURSE in desperate need of placement.
i'm not based anywhere near your area of interest so i can't help you there. But i would say that you need to condense down your cv a bit i didn't read it all, it was just a bit wordy, when i've been involved with students, i've had to read many cvs, so i do look more favourably on the ones that are concise and to the point, this is obviously sad but true of most places. I didn't notice any practice work experience, your college may be different from the ones round here but practice work experience is required, i'd be looking to speak to someone at that practice before i took you on. Hope this helps
