We're having a tidying day here at the OCC and we are trying to tackle the Loyalty Cards boxes.
I wanted to pick your brains and see if have come up with some systems to keep them on file.
We currently use A-Z note card boxes but

RE: Organizing Royal Canin and Hills Loyalty Cards

another vote for clients keep their own loyalty cards ( we don't sell food but do use other loyalty cards).

I did a major sort out in our dispensary earlier this year because I was sick to death of tripping over/ dropping/ knocking over the huge stacks of detritis clients leave with us - ie vaccination booklets they leave on front desk and then swear blind come the next vaccination that they have never had one - but must have a duplicate for the kennels, loyalty cards, receipts for this that or the other, microchip documents, blankets especially the ones that have been soiled and we have then washed and await collection, dog leads, dog collars, walking sticks, gloves, hats , scarves, spectacles, false teeth (don't ask!) We were starting to rival the lost property dept of London Transport. I have a rule now 3 months and its gone (sooner if it smells and it makes its presence felt). In saying that I did have a client come in to collect their cat basket for their new cat - previous cat had been pts by us approximately 2 years earlier and apparently they had only left the basket with us for safe keeping

RE: Organizing Royal Canin and Hills Loyalty Cards

We were keeping them with, from what I could tell, no organisation - just stuffed in a box.

But then we decided that the clients had to deal with them themselves. It really isn't our job and took a lot of time to find them, plus clients would get pi**y if you forgot they were due their free bag.

So now it's up to them to keep them and remember to bring them in.
