I have the littmans cardio master fantastic especially as my hearing is not great. The others are a waste of time for me. I use mine loads and prefer longer tubing. it allows a bit of safer back off space if the animal is a bit dodgy... l am not "in their face".

I was given the original one have since replace the tubing, not bad after 10 years of hard use though. New they are about £140. The tubing was £70. It is not something l would say to get though unless you are a heavy user of scopes and/or have bad hearing.

Hi there,

Newbie here... Just wondering a few things before I invest in a stethoscope and wanted to pick your knowledgeable brains a little.

In terms of the differences between paed's and adult scopes am I right in thinking that paed's scopes have smaller diaphragm's than adult ones?

And neonatal ones are even smaller?

What are your preferences and why?

Think I might have to order the blue cat one after pay day, to treat myself. It's going really well. Client list growing slowly but surely. we have a big flyer campaign starting yesterday so hoping that should bring a lot of clients in and a front cover on a local mag. I love it, never been happier, really great team too.

We're having a Blue Cross Tea Party/Open Day event on 11th July so if any of you guys are around please pop in!! I've also decided that I should a run a half marathon - I must be insane! xxx

I have the Ultrascope Paediatric and I have no problems with sound. Sometimes it picks up too much for my virgin ears!!! lol :D

Thanks Carol, which head do you use and find best as another feline only nurse ? Neonatal or Paediatric?

Pretty to look at but l find that l can not hear a thing through them. If l were you try one out first then buy one.

Call vetdirect instead of looking at the catalogue, they never have the same stock in there!!! v/ frustrating. I got a pediatric one with paw prints from there :) I love it!! very comfortable and fantastic sound especially when you apply pressure!
