Me too, or me two.

I mean, the reality is that in a small profession like this, people will talk and I would also suspect that there's less awareness (particularly by veterinary staff not involved in HR), that they should treat attendance for a job interview as confidential. So I wouldn't be getting too angry with the other practice, but I would ring them and ask that they tell their team that interviews are confidential.

Thank you. I will email them to be honest. I just don't think it's fair to be put into an awkward position with work if my boss finds out. I'm going to have to speak to the nurse in my practice and ask them who else they spoke to so at least I'll know how many people have been told.

be up front with your boss let them know you are on the look out for something else before they get wind of it from somebody else - won't harm them to know they have a leaky staff member too

Very unprofessional but not first time I've heard of it happening. I would definitely contact practice in question and let them know. Let's hope their staff aren't so leaky about client confidentiality!!
