As I was writing up the story, I was thinking 'Why don't practices offer a free or low cost

RE: Nurse 'new pet' consultations
i think this is something IVC are promoting in their practices.
Hmm - I just looked at three of their practice websites at random, and none of them have anything obvious to say 'thinking about getting a new pet? Then talk to us'

So they're keeping it a bit quiet if they are!!!
What a fantastic idea this would be to offer in practice, we see all too regularly people buying pets and not doing any research into their needs.
Glad someone likes the idea Jennifer, the more I think about it, the more crackers it seems to me that ALL practices don't say 'TALK TO US FIRST!'.

I'm going to review what the PDSA (and others) have done already and see if there is anything more I can add to help.

RE: Nurse 'new pet' consultations

i think this is something IVC are promoting in their practices.
