Now to those of us keen to further our education and gain cpd hours, can understand how we could apply this extra knowledge

RE: Benefits of the Dip Avn medical

Thank-you both for your answers.

Like you Jo, I've filed all those anatomy lectures under a pile of dust some where out of memory, so going back to college would be like a massive refresher course.

I like your point Nicky! It all comes down to patient care even if the practice manager only looks at it from a finance point of view.

Thanks again!! Hopefully this time next year I'll be on my way to a blue badge!! :)

RE: Benefits of the Dip Avn medical

Better protocols due to your work/research and learning the ability to use evidence based practice to ensure best care for patients.

RE: Benefits of the Dip Avn medical

The reasons I will be doing the DipAVN

Personal development & growth ( which hopefully will lead to increased motivation and production in the workplace)?

To elevate the nursing profession

To inspire, coach and lead other veterinary professionals and students

To further cement underpinning knowledge of why we do the stuff we do....because lets face it I forgot most if my RVN knowledge already.

I also do not work in a hospital, but any member of staff motivated to work hard and aspire to be more knowledgeable and a better nurse is surely of great benefit to any company.
