I think working as a VN in the US is a bit of a minefield, as every state has its own licensing laws to practice as a vet tech. I understand most US vet techs are degree qualified and to meet the criteria from abroad you need to provide evidence of your qual for them to assess and take a national exam. Not sure about Canada.

Definitely recommend kookaburra locum agency as others have said. Most jobs are advertised through Seek.com or Trade Me (new Zealand). There is also a Facebook group called New Zealand Veterinary Locum and Employment Network if you want to join. I'm a UK VN and live in NZ so feel free to message me if you want any other info. There have been lots of threads about this over the years, pop "Australia" or whatever into the search box top right of the screen and you'll get lots of info. There was definitely a couple of threads quite recently about working in Canada and the various hoops needed to jump through for registration etc. Good luck!

when i was looking at going to Oz carlton recruitment were very helpful ,although this was a few years ago
