aaah interesting I think the VPAC cert isn't right for me as I know the veterinary side so I thought maybe of taking the VPMC as this is more the accounting clerical side of things which I'm not that familiar with but I don't think I will get the support in practice to complete it.

I'm head nurse where I am and I'm expected to do most of the paperwork such as the client accounts and bad debtors stuff so I'd really like to learn about the other side of the managers role so it gives me the oportunity to progress.

I was made practice manager last August and my qualifications are all accountancy based and I had worked for 14 years for an accountancy practice. I didn't feel confident enough in my veterinary practice knowledge to jump straight in and do the VPMC even though I had work in the practice for 4 years. I have found the VPAC very beneficial and I have learnt a lot in the last few months.

Hills and walthams have got really good posters info packs etc if thats any help.

Have a look around on the internet... lots of practices will advertise clinics and services which they offer on their websites for potential new clients to look at
