I think it depends on your JVP and how much they're willing to push for a good salary for you. They're under a lot of pressure with regards to budgets and I've seen the loss of a fantastic nurse recently because the JVP refused to even consider a better wage for her. This was after it took months to even find a nurse in the first place. I've been with V4P for several years as a VCA, but for most of this time I've been the only member of staff undertaking nursing duties, which I know I'm good at, and I'm still only on minimum wage(!!). This factored into my decision to leave amongst other reasons

there isn't a standard rate (or lets say there wasnt a standard rate when I worked for them)

To be honest I don't think that Vets4pets have a standard salary pay scale. I work for them in Bristol and was paid what I asked for. The best guide for pay scales are SPVS
