My cat was hit 9 weeks ago and was.found with a shattered pelvis. No bladder.function or tail function. He had cystocentesis to begin with then an indwelling catheter. His tail.function started to return after 5 days but still no bladder function. Then he was able.to pass only small amounts often and I was expressing him to ensure he was empty. Week 2 he was passing more and now eight weeks down the line he is 100% well apart from his wiggle... time is a great healer.

RE: Tail Pull Injury to my beloved cat!!

[quote user="kathryn scroope"]

Have had good results with Dantrium and Dibenylin for bladder muscle tone, so if not on them would definitely be worth a go.

Constipation was a problem with this cat in the early days as I recall.
