You all are probably right. I don't mind working as a vet nurse assistant. I do need to practice more, that is certain. The only thing I dont want, is volunteer as I can't due to money issues... So I need a job where I get paid.
I contacted many locum agencies, I applied to lots of adds (RVN, vet nurse assistant, trainee...).
I don't mind about the area. The thing is that I am still in france right now. I'm planning on going to the UK by the end of august if I havent find anything before. (again, it is only because of money that i am not in the UK yet...).

Thank you everyone for you help ! I keep looking, applying, I will not stop until I get something :)

So unfortunately your qualification doesn't equate to the UK one so you need to complete further training. You will need to find a training practice so it's effectively a student position that you are after.

Where are you based? Send your CV and a covering letter outlining your training needs to all the veterinary practices within a reasonable commuting distance to wherever you live. A lot of people find work that way. If you look at the RCVS website it lists those practices that are training practices to make your search easier.

Vets now do a new grad program if you are interested in ECC, i'm not sure what their requirements are but i would assume it will be eligibility for registration with the RCVS.

Agree with above send your CV to all the clinics near you. potentially look at clinics looking for Animal Care Assistants. if you don't have that many hours they might be inclinded to put you through the rest of the required training hours.

Where abouts are you based? There might be someone on here who works for a practice that might have a vacancy

Hi,
I have to do more hours and take the tests because I just graduated in december 2015... I do not have a lot of experience and in England, they ask a student to work 1800 hours in total while they are studying and I havent worked that much. That's why. Otherwise, if I had more experience with more hours on my cv, they probably wouldn't ask me those conditions....

I can't consider volunteering because of money ... :/

Hi!

if you are having to undertake 1200 hours within practice plus examinations, that suggests your qualification does not equate to the UK RVN qualification? do you have to complete the NPL as well? It may be that you need to look for an unqualified/student position rather than an RVN position?

Have you considered voluntary work within a practice In order to complete your hours?

A lot of people send their CV to local practices as a way to introduce themselves.

I did contact some of the locum agencies but only one of them replied and told me he will have a look for me and contact me but nothing so far....
I dont know any places in the UK and I want a job so I dont really care about the area. I will go anywhere I find a job :)
I also have those conditions about the registration... I have been ask to work 1200 hours more under the PSA and undertake a written and practice pre-registration test ... That doesn't help me at all !

I've registered with most locum agencies too, it doesn't cost anything but they take money out of your hourly pay. It's still more than I get paid in my normal job so I like doing it at weekends. They usually pay you a week later which is convenient if you need the money quickly!

Hi, I would agree with Jennifer in that maybe locuming to start off with as there is a high demand for nurses and they generally are happy with any experience as they just need the extra help to cover. Lots of agencies that you can find through google, I registered with most of them as increases the chance for work. Are you based anywhere specific or willing to travel?

have you tried applying for any of the jobs that say with experience? Since I qualified as a nurse in 2014, there seems to be a high demand for veterinary nurses and people always looking for permanent nurses. I applied for a job that said with experience when I qualified and was offered the position but I declined. You could perhaps try locuming to help you gain experience and work in a variety of practices?
