I've been nursing for over 20 years. Head nurse/unofficial practice manager. I've seen tears, tantrums, laughter and sadness. Whatever you do. Listen to your staff.

What ever they say... Think about it.. Digest it and respond With- yes that's great we can do that or no on this occasion it wouldn't work because. Work as a full team.

if it's manageable for you - definitely flexible working patterns as this will enable you to cast your net much more widely; to catch lots more lovely nursing staff!

Sometimes just a simple 'thankyou' means a lot. It's easy to forget especially when it's busy.
