I do puppy classes in our practice and they would be one ofen-USTelligent Community 10https://www.vetnurse.co.uk/thread/164888?ContentTypeID=1Mon, 09 May 2016 23:16:49 GMT1a0763ec-3885-442c-853e-6cef656dfec5:12f1eeaf-9f2d-4777-8472-72dac92b3791Bouteloua<p>I love teaching pet dog training classes. &nbsp;I teach several sessions each year. &nbsp;I feel that they are a value to the client they learn good training techniques and proper care. &nbsp;The dogs benefit because with good manners they are welcome in more places. &nbsp;Therefore they do not become &quot;yard dogs&quot;. &nbsp;The practice benefits because we are able to educate our clients in a different way than just in the exam rooms.</p> <p>Some of the topics that I cover include: motivation; marker training (clicker); consistency; basic obedience stay, come and walk nice on leash; and basic medical things like parasite protection, first aid, nutrition &nbsp;breeding (or not), etc. &nbsp;One of the doctors that I work with helps with the classes and give information on the medical parts of the class.</p> <p></p><div style="clear:both;"></div>
