If your time off work was a direct result of an accident that occurred in the workplace then your employer has a legal responsibility to report it to the HSE. It's the law so they have to do it. I don't believe it's your responsibility to chase this but I may be wrong.

I have asked if it has been reported a number of times, but have only just found out it hasn't. Apparently it's up to the practice to report it, I'm not allowed to. Not sure what the implications are on me if they don't report it.

Over-seven-day incapacitation of a worker

Accidents must be reported where they result in an employee or self-employed person being away from work, or unable to perform their normal work duties, for more than seven consecutive days as the result of their injury. This seven day period does not include the day of the accident, but does include weekends and rest days. The report must be made within 15 days of the accident.

It's in the accident book, but hasn't been reported that I'm aware of.

hope it was all recorded in the accident book, thought things the tare work related accidents and keep you off work had to be reported some how.
