i don't have much experience in dog behaviour and I really need some advice for one of my dogs who's now petrified of going for a walk after a firework went off a few streets away during the day a few weeks ago. She's keen to get her harness on

RE: Behaviour advice needed for my dog

Adaptil do a collar form which can be very helpful when out and about and can be used alongside Zylkene. The important thing is to not make a fuss of her when she is showing signs of fear as this can make things a lot worse.

RE: Behaviour advice needed for my dog

Hi

My spaniel sometimes refuses to go out in the dark due to a firework phobia. I found zylkene really helped to allow me to get him going outside in the dark again. It should be used in combination with behavioural training. I did lots of positive rewards with treats on the walk. Best to get an expert opinion on what behavioural training your dog needs though.
