The obvious gloves for litter trays etc but also gloves for handling medications not in blister packs. I think there is a list of tetragenic drugs in the BSAVA small animal formulary but it&#39;s sensible to wear gloves anyway. I avoided all xrays. Generally it didn&#39;t effect my day to day job, it&#39;s just a case of being sensible, avoiding situations were you may be thrown about a bit by unruly animals. When I was pregnant with my son it was in the middle of the swine flu outbreak so they took me off nurse clinics to limit being exposed to it. They didn&#39;t do risk assessment as such in my day, maybe things might have to follow more procedure with regard to breaks etc.</p><div style="clear:both;"></div>
