just out of interest, what area is that in? Midlands seems to be stunted at 18-19k

28 years and only one post on ventures... Ive been qualified since 1999 and am on my highest wage of 19.5k. I think expecting accommodation and 25k is unrealistic, unless in the london area. But its true.. practices do seem to avoid 'over qualified' nurses because we cost them too much!

Do not lower your expectations. 25 k for someone with your experience is reasonable. Jobs with those wages are out there - stick to your guns. Out of interest what area of the country are you?

there is nothing wrong with the above persons expectations. I know exactly what she is experiencing, especially on the accomadation part. as when I needed a place to live quickly. the flat above the practice was a no no again I was like HELLOO!!!

I disagree about lowering your expectations Veronica. Nursing is a profession and should be paid as such! Be patient, connect with the right agencies and keep an eye on jobs posted by the RVC and the Universities as they tend to post salary.

Actually, I feel salary band should be posted as a matter of course, regardless of level or qualification, so everyone at the interveiw is on the same page.
