&lt;p&gt;It would also help if the BBC had their figures right...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;My current employer is signed up to the Living Wage Foundation. One of them left Marks and Spencer where they were earning less than &amp;pound;8ph for quite a responsible position to go to Aldi where she sits on the tills for &amp;pound;10ph, but then compare that to Asda where the rate is minimum wage, but all of these jobs are at least paying the minimum wage&lt;/p&gt;
