All 4 of mine were impacted! So I had all 4 removed when I was 18!

muhahahaha I had the bloody thing ripped out today! Didn't feel a thing although when the 2 lots of local got injected I went tachycardic and lost the vision in my right eye!! LOL I was informed that a little bit may have gone intravascular (hence the tachycardia) and some had leaked into my orbit causing temporary immobilisation of the occular muscles... ahh well its out and its in a bag at home

Yes certainly, you could be an elder!!!!!

My dentist has offered to xray them to see if I've got any but I can't be bothered. The minute the dentist starts playing about with my mouth I'm sure they'll appear & start gettting sore!!

Well after another sleepless night I toddled off to A&E at 5am this morning - nothing they could do so go and see your dentist. Fair enough, so I have an appointment this afternoon. Had to phone in sick as was supposed to be working an 11 hour shift today which I wasn't very happy about as everyone knew that I wasn't feeling well The tooth in question is upper right wisdom, its just relentless the pain.

had an impacted lower wisdom tooth removed approx 6 years ago - used hypnosis instead of LA or GA . Hardly any bleeding, hardly any swelling or bruising. was able to walk to and from the surgery and was discharged within 30 mins of the end of the procedure, minimal post op pain and what I couldnt sort out for myself was sorted with paracetamol - would recommend this route to anybody

I had major probs with mine too, they actually took mine out before they were through as I was getting lock jaw because of them, I could barely open my mouth to eat as my jaw would go into spasm and when I forced my mouth open it would crack like I had broken my jaw. I had to have a general to remove them and stitched gums...........ouch!!

I had a lot of trouble with one of my wisdom tooth as well. The direction it was growing in, left it gnawing away at the inside of my cheek.....not very pleasant! Eventually I had it out under local, it wasn't unbearable but quite uncomfortable....after a lot of pulling around to losen it, they than yanked it out! I still feel a little squeamish thinking about it. And it was very hard not being able to eat/talk etc. properly for about 48 hours.

Funnily enough it was just the one troublesome one. Which of yours is giving you bother? I was told & have also heard that the teeth on the lower jaw are more complicated to extract & require hospitalisation & GA.

Poor you :( I have totally been there. All 4 of my wisdom teeth had zero room to come in and they were all put under so much pressure in my jaw that they all got stress fractures so the oral surgion had to take them out in little pieces.

Surely they could give you stronger pain releif for this?
