Just wanted to glean what everyone's experiences were on here with regard to gaining sponsorship for further qualifications, from outside the practice you work in.
I am now 2 years qualified and have been working in an amazing practice for

RE: Sponsorship outside the practice...

Hi Rebecca,

This is certainly possible however you need to make yourself stand out and be seen as a KOL in the companies eye to begin with before any drug company is likely to consider looking at sponsoring. They will want something back in return in the form of support for reps and providing lecture on a roadshow type basis - nothing in life is free. I don't think companies have a 'budget' for it so it can take quite a while to form the relationship and move forward with gaining the financial help. Some of my relationships with companies and reps go back 10+ years.

hope this helps,

when I was at my previous employer I tried to contact many companies that would be relevant to the exotics certificate to get sponsorship. unfortunately I didn't get very far.

maybe speak to you local reps for drugs that are associated with OA and such. they may be able to help or point you in the right direction.

thanks
