Hey Kathryn, thanks a million for your reply. This is really helpful, I really appreciate it.

Not sure if you know of Independent Vet Care. I had a meeting with them and it sounds brilliant, so many opportunities and little bonuses. They really do seem to look after their nurses really well. I've actually just got an e-mail and some information regarding a job in Kent. I've had a look at the area and rent seems fine, but fortunately there is a chance of on-site accommodation which would be really brilliant. I've had a look at the clinic's website and I really do like the look of it. Do you find anything different to working in Ireland?

Hey!! Im Irish and have been working here since March!! I love it, they look after nurses here really well, and theres so much potential here with jobs and moving on up the ladder!! Id advise go somewhere where the cost of living is low, I was going to move to London but im so glad I didn't because im already on a budget here so I would be so broke if I lived in a city!! Once you have the job set up everything else will happen easy, the bank account is fine just use your work address as a permanent address if you can, get your NI number set up as soon as you move. Don't just take any job you get though be a bit fussy because they are crying out for nurses here so don't settle on a low wage job!! :)

That really is good to know. Everyone I've been in touch with has said Irish nurses do quite well over there so that is a comfort. I am a bit nervous about making the moves but I'm sure that's normal!

I'll definitely keep that in mind, thank you so much. :)

I'm actually more worried about sorting out bank accounts and phones etc. The work doesn't bother me. Even if I don't know something I'll ask and I tend to learn fairly fast as well. It's really exciting at the same time though. :)

Hi Jane - I've placed 2 irish nurses here, and 3 from NZ/Australia in the last 6 months. My clients always seem excited to have someone on board from somewhere different!

Let me know if you want to discuss meeting with some of my clients, I have independant owners and corporate and will usually get you accommodation as well. Depending on where you want to live obviously! :)
