Aww cool!

i would easy drive but its the actual inital cost of the course and getting the experience with horses for the npl i cant get as not many practices up this way do lots with horses or they arnt a training practice which is really annoying and its also really annoying that the closest equine nursing course is preston!!

Its what i've always wanted to do!

I'm at Meadows vets in Oldmeldrum, Aberdeenshire.

I really want to do the combined small animal\equine course and being encouraged to go for it but it's the travelling to the college from up here!

So really keen to hear from fellow Scots who attend this college!

Hey Luan, I was looking to do my equine top up here what practice are you working in? I come from elgin close to inverness and really want to do my equine nursing!

Got a reply from The Equine College but OMG it's going to cost an absolute fortune to get there, stay there and study there!

There are no direct flights from Aberdeen to Stansted and the college suggested that students who fly down should rent a car for the week which is at least £300 for 5 days rental as there is no direct public transport to the college and then there's the accommodation to sort out too which is at least £60 a night!

I would love to hear from anyone from Scotland who is training here as I would really love to do my training through there but have to be realistic at the cost!

I see that DART training in Derbyshire also do distance learning C&G Vet Nursing Diploma...anyone got any experience with them as I have never heard about them.

i am enrolled in their Equine Nursing Techniician diploma and several of my classmates are in the EVN course from Scotland. I sugest you contact their Program Manger leonie.lawson@equinestudies.co.uk she is very helpful and if she can't answer your questions, I am sure she can put you on to one of the Scottish nurses
