Cat owners seemed to take to them more than dog owners - the single best way of promoting them is for the vets to mention them to clients, but I often picked up clients anyway on a routine nurses appt ie the cats with nails that needed cutting, the cats with fur mats because they were finding it difficult to groom or had manky mouths. Once clients knew that you had a bit of time to spend with them and their pet and weren't as hurried as the vet these clinics really took off

we used to offer discounted bloods to the golden oldies and a free quarterly urine dip. Nail clips with me were always cheaper than a vet nail clip. Blood pressure testing was always done by the nurses anyway unless it was an emergency situation.
