Just after some ideas. I have a 6 month dog who was on fish for dogs (or puppies I can't remember, never heard of it before anyway) as I got him at 3 months and the breeder said this breed do tend to have sensitive stomachs. Anyway, I changed him

RE: Which dog food?

have you had a look at this website?

it seems quite useful when it comes to contents of food and so on, but I'm not sure of the science behind it.

RE: Which dog food?

[quote user="Julie"]

Lovejoys is a fairly new food on the market but is good quality at a good price

plus it smells tasty lol

RE: Which dog food?

Lovejoys is a fairly new food on the market but is good quality at a good price

RE: Which dog food?

Thank you both for your replies.

I can honestly say that I didn't know that there were so many diets on the market. I think I have narrowed it down to two but its so confusing!

RE: Which dog food?

Hi

i use lovejoys grain free which is the only food that my Lurcher can tolerate and she looks great on it! I heard about them at bsava and they gave me a freebie so maybe worth contacting them for a sample and see what you think. It's human grade food so it feels good feeding her something that I know I could eat myself, not that I ever would however lol

RE: Which dog food?

Why not go back onto Fish4Dogs if it suited your dog?

Symply do have a good website and is a popular food where I live but they don't just sell it anywhere and everywhere unlike some companys.

You will get quite a few different opinions on food and some will go totally against what you are taught at college and in practice so just do a little investigating yourself, pick a food and try to be happy with your decision..

If your dog looks healthy and doesn't fart what more could you want?lol

I don't rate RC, or some of the ingredients, as I didn't get a straight forward answer to a question I asked them about one of it's preservatives but that's not for this thread.

I feed mine Canagan, which is grain-free, and some people think that grain-free is bad for dogs and cats so would question my choice!

Good luck with whatever you choose
