I have lots of practices who would love to have a new Veterinary Nurse who care for their clients more than office politics! As your peers have said, maybe it is time to move on, it seems that you have an excellent work ethic that isn't shared by your current colleagues. Thankyou guys, and thanks Sal- it's really nice how you always seem to have time for people on here x

Sometimes it is good just to know that other people have been in the same situation. I've waited for things to get better for years now and have also turned down job offers- I don't regret staying, at the time I honestly thought that I could help.

It is definitely time to leave though, I guess I just don't know whether to have one last attempt at getting across how bad things are or to just cash in my chips and walk :(

Time to look to the future :)

I was in same position as you. I gave my notice in for another position elsewhere. My boss told me things would change, he'd support me more, I trusted that and turned the new job down, 6 months on nothing has changed, I regret not going!!!!

Been there,done that, left the practice and now absolutely love my job again! If the management don't care then unfortunately nothing will ever change! Sorry for being so negative but having been thorough something similar myself and now having the best job in the world I can see I did the right thing!

If you want to chat privately you can contact me on here if you think it will be helpful, even if its just to unload - anything said stays 100% confidential. You sound very frustrated. Its hard when you feel that you are battling to get things done. Sometimes that battle is worth it and sometimes - well the victory comes at too high a price, and sometimes the battle isn't yours to fight but somebody elses. Don't let this take over your life.
