I'm a vet nurse student, I've just started and i live in Turkey. There are many stray cats, which I feed regularly. On my round i sometimes see cats with runny noses, looking lethargic, even with sore mouths. I took one to a vet recently

RE: Stray cats in Turkey

I've found a local council run vet practice for emergencies. Also I bought a cat cage today so i can take some in for a bit of rest and food, hopefully a stress free environment for a few days may help some of them. Thanks for your kind words.

RE: Stray cats in Turkey

Is there a local rescue that could help out? Maybe catch them, neuter, treat any health issues and rehome?
Are you working in a practice at the moment? Could your boss offer to treat them at cost price if you are helping a registered charity?
If you can offer them food and water then great but the problem you might face is that all the stray cats in the area will start to depend on you for food which in the long term will get costly.

Just remember though as much as we all would love to.. we can't save them all :(
Well done for trying though!
