due to sit my practical exams on Saturday for the third time (eek!) so was just wondering if anyone has any last minute tips? I feel more prepared this time than previous times but still absolotuely terrified.

I finished setting up and the examiner said - 'run me through your swabs again - everything you need to do the task is here' - which is when I saw the little packet with the pre-prepared swab in it! - so I put that on the table - at least she knew that I knew it was meant to be there because I'd mentioned it! Anyway - good luck to you all - it honestly isn't quite as bad as you think it's going to be

RE: OSCE

I am also doing mine for the first time tomorrow.

Leaving this afternoon as I have to stay over night, mine are at 8:30am and 3-4 hours drive away.

I am just trying to make myself think that they will be fine, no different to my mocks and I do these things everyday.

The worst that can happen is I will have to re-sit....annoying but not the end of the world!

RE: OSCE

Also doing mine on saturday - first time.

I plan on arriving in plenty of time - I stress when I feel short of time, and have a cuppa to calm me down when I arrive. My partner is driving me, so I am bringing the dog to pet whilst I wait to go into building- again to try and stop me stressing. I hope because I have practiced them with different people, I won't feel as nervous with the examiners.

Good luck everyone, remember your gloves and breathe!!

RE: OSCE

Key thing is not to panic!

You perform these tasks on a daily basis so you should be able to do them in an exam situation.

Don't rush! It feels like you don't have long to perform the task but I promise that they allow you plenty of time!

Talk through what you are doing - it ensures that the examiner doesn't miss anything and it helps you to work through the task in a structured manner.

Good luck!!

RE: OSCE

Make the most of the time you have whilst waiting to go into the station by reading your scenario thoroughly! Plan how you are going to do each task. When you go in, look around so you know where anything is and if you are unsure of something don't be afraid to ask the examiner! Talk through what you are doing so the examiner doesn't miss anything. Afterwards I recommend a nice hot relaxing bubble bath to wash away any horrid post exam thoughts lol Worse case scenario is a re sit which whilst awful...it is not the end of the world! Fingers crossed for you, I passed second time myself :)

RE: OSCE

Im sitting mine for the first time on saturday, sorry i have no tips for you but do you have any for me?!!
